10 Reasons Why Steve Gibson Is The PERFECT Choice As Your Next Copywriter
Dear Future Client,
If you find yourself here, one of three things is likely to be true:
#1: You want to hire a good copywriter and think I might be the person you’re looking for.
#2: You’re a nosey copywriter who likes to check out the competition.
#3: You’re a pervert who gets his jollies from visiting copywriting websites.
Well, whatever your reason for being here, why don’t you take your hands out your pants for a minute, and I’ll regale you with 10 reasons why I’m not just any run-of-the-mill copywriter…
Reason to hire me #1: I’m not just a copywriter
As well as being a copywriter, I’ve been a media buyer and marketing consultant since 2006.
That means two things…
First, I understand that copy doesn’t exist in a vacuum.
How you speak to your prospect depends on who you’re marketing to, their stage of awareness, their level of sophistication, and the existing relationship they have with your brand.
Second, it means I might come up with breakthroughs for you…like the time I made an online trading company an extra €440,000/year profit, just by asking them one question about their segmentation.
(Do you want to know the question? Just ask.)
Reason to hire me #2: I’ve written for multiple divisions of Agora
If you don’t know who Agora is, it’s the Real Madrid/New York Yankees* of copywriting.
(* Depending which side of the pond you’re from.)
They’re known for hiring the best copywriters.
They hired me. And they trained me.
Reason to hire me #3: I hit deadlines
Writers are flakey, right?
Well, they don’t have to be.
When it was at Agora, I wrote 250-300 pieces of copy…without missing a single deadline.
So, if you’re sick of having to chase writers for overdue copy…I’m your man!
(And not your prima donna.)
Reason to hire me #4: My copy gets results
When I started at Agora, I was a relative noob.
But, within a month or so, my emails were appearing on their lists of top performing emails.
(They even kept re-running some of those emails long after I’d left the company.)
Reason to hire me #5: I’m from Scotland
Claude Hopkins — arguably the greatest copywriter who ever lived — said “a Scotch mother was the best asset” you could have if you want to write copy.
Well, I have both a “Scotch” mother AND a “Scotch” father.
I’m sure you don’t need me to do the math…
Reason to hire me #6: I’m old wise
Listen, if you’re marketing to Generation Z about the latest fads…I’m not your guy. Go find a young copywriter who really gets that audience.
But, if you’re writing to people over 40 about the important things in life — like money, health, quality of life — do you really think some fresh-faced 20-something is going to understand the lived experience of your prospects?
Reason to hire me #7: I can write for all sorts of niches
I’ve written for finance, health, SaaS, ecommerce, travel…
I even spent 6 months writing about chess.
And, let’s be honest, if I can make chess interesting, just imagine what I could do for your product or service.
Reason to hire me #8: I have a good grasp of grammar
Some copywriters say grammar doesn’t matter. Tell that to Avril Lavigne.
Reason to hire me #9: Smart people think I’m good
I mentioned earlier that I was hired by Agora.
But that’s not all.
Over the years, my writing has drawn praise* from people like John Carlton, Parris Lampropoulos, David Deutsch, John Forde, Joe Schriefer, Jason Capital… and a whole raft of experienced copywriters and copy chiefs who are well known within the direct response industry.
(* And the occasional, “What the fuck is this shit?”)
Reason to hire me #10: I’m not asking you to believe me
Sure, all sorts of clever people have said I’m a good writer, but I’ll let you be the judge. Click the button below…

I've written for...

About me
Well, for starters I’m a Brit, but I spend much of my time doing the digital nomad thing in Europe.
As for my experience…
I’ve been working in marketing since 2006.
For most of those years, I was managing PPC accounts.
But in the last couple of years, I’ve focused more on writing copywriting.
Initially that was for a client in the education/entertainment niche.
But, more recently, it’s been for one of the Agora divisions, where I wrote 250-300 emails over a 6 month period.
(Never missing a deadline!)
